“Most companies talk about AI today, but few do anything about it. Everyone is a little stressed. Companies need an AI partner who understands their needs and makes different AI solutions work together,” says Niclas Ingeström, The Cloud People's new Chief AI Officer.
The Cloud People is experiencing great demand for advice and consulting services around artificial intelligence (AI), and is therefore strengthening its investment in AI. AI expert Niclas Ingeström is now employed as Chief AI Officer.
“Many companies talk about AI, but few take the step to implement it in a way that creates real value. To succeed, you need an AI partner who understands not only the technology but also the company's challenges and needs,” says Niclas Ingeström, the new Chief AI Officer at The Cloud People.
Ingeström continues: “ServiceNow has its AI solutions, the customers have theirs, and we at The Cloud People have ours. The challenge is to get all these systems to work together. AI isn't just about technology – it's about understanding what the customer really needs and what problems they're trying to solve. Do they want more revenue, higher profit, or a more stable production?”
Niclas Ingeström will lead The Cloud Peoples AI venture. The goal is to help customers utilize their data and develop AI solutions that produce measurable results.
“All individuals know about and to use generative AI, such as ChatGPT, but companies have not come as far. Everyone is a little stressed. Companies need help to collect and make data available for AI, to create AI solutions that create real value,” says Ingeström.
He adds: “Everyone will have more AI assistants. AI by itself will not replace our jobs. What takes jobs from us are those who are skilled in using AI, who have many AI assistants.”
He highlights some examples of what AI can be used for:
Bjørn Jarl, CEO of The Cloud People emphasizes: “The Cloud People have many forward-looking customers, and together we develop processes and workflows for tomorrow. With his long experience as CIO in large international companies, Niclas has solid expertise and knowledge of how to best adopt and use AI.”
Niclas Ingeström describes his new role as an opportunity to contribute to The Cloud People's further growth.
Ingeström underlines. “I am an entrepreneur at heart, and it is clear that The Cloud People also have an entrepreneurial spirit and growth philosophy. Bjørn Jarl, who started The Cloud People, has built a company with people in focus. If you have satisfied employees, you work well and provide good customer service. Then you get satisfied customers, who are the basis for success. Happy people, happy customers, good business - that's the philosophy that drives us. Happy people, happy customers, and happy company—happy people all the way.”
Bjørn Jarl adds: “Niclas comes from the customer side and really understands the customers' challenges and needs. If we are to continue our growth, we need to hire people who have been in the business and bring a true customer understanding.”
Niclas Ingeström has extensive experience with digital transformation in various management positions and as a board member in companies such as Stena, Epical, and Castellum and he brings experience from both the technological and business side to The Cloud People.
Ingeström concludes: “I have worked with all parts of the technology industry. And since I come from the customer side, I really understand the customer's challenges. If a consulting company is to grow, they must hire people who have been at companies.”
